CFL18 Delivers Another Outstanding Day of Kickboxing in Belfast

The ProKick team once again cemented their reputation as one of Belfast's premier kickboxing clubs - and one of the most respected in Europe. They delivered a flawless event packed with excitement, kicking off the afternoon with performances from their youngest competitors: five, six, seven, and nine-year-olds who absolutely stole the show.
Jude Young is following in the footsteps of his father, Ian Young, a former WKN world champion. At just 14 years old, Jude is eager to carry on his father's legacy and can't wait to step back into the ring.
CFL18 Lights Up Belfast with Another Thrilling Day of Kickboxing
WKN Champions Fight League 18 was scheduled to begin at 3:30pm on Sunday, 20th September, and at exactly 3:30pm, Master of Ceremonies Gary Gillespie officially got the show underway.
MrG, opened the event by sharing some of ProKick’s proud history and reminding the packed house that CFL18 marked our 18th event in just four years.
The afternoon featured 13 contests - three Light-Contact matches followed by ten competitive bouts fought under Low-Kick and K-1 rules. Two talented Maltese fighters brought an international flavour to the event and helped bring the action to a fitting climax.
The audience was fantastic, the fighters showed tremendous discipline and every visiting team was professionally presented and brilliantly supported. A packed ProKick Gym on a Sunday afternoon created an atmosphere worthy of the occasion.

“I would like to personally thank every travelling club, coach and fighter who supported CFL18 and conducted themselves with nothing but professionalism throughout the day.
“A special thank-you must also go to our judges, referees and officials, Adele Robinson, our back-room team and everyone who worked behind the scenes. I am also extremely grateful to those who stayed after the final bell to clean the venue and return ProKick to normal - ready to reopen for our 6:30am class on Monday morning.
“This is what kickboxing is truly about: communities, cultures and countries coming together for an afternoon of friendship, mutual respect and top-quality sporting competition.”
