Jay Snoddon lifts WKN Pro all-Ireland crown at the Bash 'n' Mash Kickboxing Event which took place on June 7th, 2025, at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast.
The night featured three electrifying competitive matches, each delivering heart-stopping action:
*Main Event: Jay Snoddon vs. Corey O’Malley*
In the highly anticipated main event, Belfast's own Jay Snoddon captured the WKN All-Ireland K-1 Professional Title with a hard-fought victory over Galway's Corey O’Malley. From the opening bell, both fighters showcased their skill and determination, but it was Snoddon who found his rhythm as the rounds progressed. The turning point came in the third round when O'Malley, under heavy pressure, forced the referee to issue a standing 8-count to the Galway fighter. The decisive moment followed in the fourth round when German referee Klaus Haggemann stepped in to stop the fight, crowning Snoddon the champion in what marked his seventh professional bout.
A well-deserved accolade for a fighter who has consistently demonstrated tenacity and skill inside the ring!
*Dan Braniff’s Championship Victory*
In another thrilling matchup, Dan Braniff added the WKN Pro-Am Super-Welterweight Irish Championship to his growing list of accolades. The reigning WKN European Amateur Champion faced off against the tenacious Conor Haynes from Birr K-1 Kickboxing in Tipperary. After four gruelling rounds, Braniff showcased his superior technique and strategy, ultimately securing a unanimous decision victory. In a show of respect, Haynes offered to place the championship belt around Braniff's waist, making for a heartwarming moment that underscored the sportsmanship present in the ring on Saturday night

*James Braniff’s Triumphant Return*
Completing the thrilling card was the long-awaited return of former Pro-Am WKN European Champion, James Braniff. After a two-year hiatus due to injury, Braniff stepped back into the ring to face the formidable Mohammed Kabba from Sers Gym in the Netherlands.
