RIP Richard WAINWRIGHT

It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a legend in the entertainment industry, Richard Wainwright, who was laid to rest today. Richard was a true innovator, known for his vibrant nightclubs across the country during the 80s and 90s. He will be fondly remembered!
In September 1989, 35 years ago, Richard (right) played a key role in helping me win the World ISKA Professional Welterweight Full-Contact title, and I have always been grateful for his unwavering support!
In September 1989, 35 years ago, he helped me lift the World ISKA Professional welterweight Full-Contact crown, and I've always been grateful for his support! He also promoted my very first title defence on January 20, 1990.
With profound sadness, we share the news of Richard Wainwright's passing on September 10th, 2024. His remarkable spirit and kindness touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed. He was a beloved husband to Maura and a much-loved dad to Andrew and David, as well as his wonderful daughters-in-law Lynsay and Annette. Richard was a devoted grandfather to Maya, Ami, Adam, and Cameron, who will always cherish their memories with him.
A Funeral Service was held today, Wednesday 18th September 2024, at Roselawn Crematorium at 10:40 am.

Even though I haven't seen Richard in over 30 years, he will be truly missed by all of us whom he helped.
