August 20, 2026
There is no slowing down Jay “The Belfast Samurai” Snoddon. The ProKick fighter faces an extraordinary schedule of three international contests in just over seven weeks, beginning in Cyprus on October 1, LIVE on television. Ten days later, he returns to action in Cork against Tadgh English at 68kg on the famous Siam Warriors Superfight Series. Then comes the biggest challenge: a long-awaited trilogy fight with Jordan Cocu in France on November 21 for the WKN Professional European K-1 title at 64kg. Relentless, disciplined and always ready, Jay is a man on a quest - first Europe, then the WKN World title, and after that, the rest. Picture: courtesy of Mr Martin Horgan
Snoddon vs. English - At just 23 years of age, the Belfast fighter has already demonstrated the discipline, courage and professionalism needed to reach the very top of the sport. Jay’s work rate and determination are second to none
There is no stopping Jay “The Belfast Samurai” Snoddon as he continues his relentless pursuit of becoming one of the best pound-for-pound kickboxers in recent Irish history.
At just 23 years of age, the Belfast fighter has already demonstrated the discipline, courage and professionalism needed to reach the very top of the sport. Jay’s work rate and determination are second to none - and now he is preparing to prove it once again with three major fights in just over seven weeks.
His remarkable schedule begins on October 1 when he travels to Cyprus to compete on a WKN international major live television event promoted by Mr Chris Christodoulou. Fighting away from home holds no fear for Jay. He has already shown that he will face anyone, anywhere and at any weight between 64-68kg even at extremely short notice because he keeps himself ready all year round.
There will be little time to rest. Just ten days later, Jay will be back in action in Cork City at Martin Horgan’s Siam Warriors World Muay Thai Superfight event. He will face Tadgh English over three three-minute rounds in another important challenge against a determined opponent.
Then, on November 21, Jay travels to France for the long-awaited third meeting with Jordan Cocu. With the rivalry standing at one victory each, everything will be decided in this trilogy—and this time, the WKN Professional European K-1 title will be on the line at 64kg.
This contest represents another major step in Jay’s journey. Already a WKN Professional European Full-Contact Champion at 64kg winning a ten round unanimous decision over dangerous French talent Yanis Kacem on June 27 this year, he is now determined to add the European K-1 crown before turning his attention towards the ultimate prize: a WKN World championship.
While most fighters would be satisfied with three demanding contests in such a short period, Jay is already looking beyond France. He has even asked his coach and mentor, former four-weight world champion Billy Murray: “Can we fit another one in during December?”
That question says everything about Jay Snoddon.
Relentless. Focused. Inspiring. A man on a quest who knows exactly what he wants.
First the WKN European title. Then the WKN World title - and after that, Jay Snoddon is ready to challenge the rest.
