Max failed to shine in Germany
March 28, 2026
It was a disappointing result for Max Murray, who was outpointed over four rounds in what was always going to be a tough assignment away from home. Max showed moments of promise but ultimately came up short on the scorecards after facing, Stefan Cvetkoski of Kickboxtempel Vohburg for the WKN Junior International championship.

The question naturally arises — was it the size of the occasion, a lack of experience on the big stage, not having his coach in his corner or simply the reality of stepping in with just 24 hours’ notice?
In truth, it was likely a combination of all four.
The Bigger Picture
What cannot be questioned is Max Murray’s courage and willingness to step up when called upon.
At just 16 years of age, to travel internationally at such short notice and compete for a recognised title speaks volumes about his character.
These are the experiences that shape fighters — not just the victories, but the setbacks, the lessons, and the growth that comes from competing at this level.
For ProKick, the message remains the same:
Commitment. Preparation. Respect.
And above all — learning, improving, and coming back stronger.
What’s Next
This is not the end of the story — it’s part of the journey.
Max Murray will take the lessons from Germany, return to the gym, and continue to develop as one of ProKick’s brightest young talents.
Because in this sport, it’s not about how you fall — it’s about how you respond
