Locked down until 11th December
November 20, 2020
There will be little to no action at the ProKick in Northern Ireland as the Gym is set to face a further three-week Covid-19 lockdown from today Friday 20th November - and can’t reopen until 11th December. ProKick classes are to remain closed from today Friday 20th November and restricted from opening right through until the 11th December.
Personal 1-1 training along with outdoor classes are options for the hard-core enthusiast - also elite athletes training for international or championship matches can continue training.
Non-essential retail will have to shut, and the hospitality sector will have to remain closed.
Schools will be allowed to stay open. Close-contact services can reopen this today, but will have to close again on 27 November for another two weeks. The measures were agreed by the executive last night (Thursday 19th Nov).
First Minister Arlene Foster said: “The Executive has been presented today with the sobering prospect of our hospitals becoming overwhelmed within weeks.
“It is clear that a tough, carefully timed, intervention is required to give us the best chance to have a safe and happy Christmas and further into the new year period.
