Day 2 – ProKick Black Belt Grading (7-Day Test)

Kids Class – Foundations & Responsibility
The evening began with the junior class, where the candidates joined in at the back of the session and took part in the practical side and listen to the instructor teaching and coaching as they took part.

As always at ProKick, our junior syllabus differs from the adult programme—no elbows, knees, or dangerous techniques—but the focus on discipline, structure, and correct fundamentals remained uncompromising. The candidates were expected to adapt, observe, and support when asked.

Senior Class – Self-Defence Focus
At 7:00pm, the team moved straight into the senior class. This session included other ProKick students working their way up the kickboxing ladder of excellence.

The focus here was self-defence techniques, testing not just physical ability but understanding, communication, and control—key attributes for any future black belt.

Orange Belt Class – Technical Depth
At 8:00pm, the candidates joined the second-level Orange Belt class, made up of students pushing towards Green Belt, the third level in the ProKick syllabus.

The entire squad worked through all three levels, with a strong emphasis on:

  • Green Belt syllabus requirements
  • Clean basic technique
  • Consistency under fatigue

Happy Birthday
Amongst all this extremely demanding physical and mental testing, Reuben Graham turned 16 years old. It’s safe to say he won’t forget where he spent his 16th birthday evening. An incredible young man, Reuben is attempting his Black Belt after nearly nine years of dedicated training — a remarkable achievement at such a young age

Happy Birthday Reuben
Many happy returns, Reuben, from all of us at ProKick.

Finish Strong
The night concluded the ProKick way—cleaning the gym, resetting the space, and preparing for an early start the following morning at 6:30am.

No shortcuts. No excuses.
Day two complete. 👊 Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
