May 12, 2026
Two warriors. Two nations. One explosive international showdown. On Saturday 27th June at the Stormont Hotel, Belfast’s own Dan Braniff collides with undefeated Cypriot sensation Petros Foulidis at CFL17 “Bash ’n’ Mash.” Experience meets youthful ambition in a high-level K-1 contest that promises nonstop action, as two elite fighters put their reputations on the line on one of ProKick’s biggest stages of the year.
On Saturday 27th June at the Stormont Hotel, Belfast’s own Dan Braniff collides with undefeated Cypriot sensation Petros Foulidis at CFL17 “Bash ’n’ Mash.”
At just 19 years of age, Cypriot sensation Petros Foulidis is already making serious waves on the international kickboxing scene. Carrying a flawless fight record of 12 wins from 12 fights, the young prodigy has quickly built a reputation as one of the brightest rising talents in Europe.
Foulidis first stepped into the gym at only six years old and has spent the last 13 years under the guidance of the renowned Uppercut Team. His dedication and commitment to the sport have already seen him capture major honours, including the WKN National Title and the prestigious U.F.N. International Title at -71kg.
Outside the ropes, Petros balances his fighting career with his studies in sports journalism and media, but his ambitions remain firmly fixed on one goal — becoming a World Champion.
Standing across from him on Saturday 27th June at the Stormont Hotel will be one of Belfast’s most battle-tested competitors, Dan Braniff.
For the Braniff family, fighting is more than a sport — it’s a way of life. Dan and his three brothers have all competed on ProKick events, with the family name now firmly established as one of the hardest-working fighting families in Belfast. Away from the gym, Dan works alongside his brothers, mother, and father in the family business, bringing the same work ethic into everyday life that he shows inside the ring.
Now 27 years old, Dan has spent the last five years developing under the ProKick banner, compiling an outstanding record of 23 fights with 19 victories. His recent form has been exceptional, recording impressive back-to-back international victories in both Hamburg and Cyprus while also winning and successfully defending the Irish Pro-Am K-1 title.
One of his standout achievements came last year at the WKN Open European Championships in Germany. Competing against elite opposition, Dan fought three gruelling contests in one day to emerge as WKN European Champion at 70kg — a true testament to his toughness, fitness, and determination.
Now comes another huge challenge.
At the legendary “Bash ’n’ Mash” event — part of CFL17 — Dan Braniff faces arguably the toughest test of his career when he takes on the undefeated Petros Foulidis over four 2-minute rounds under full K-1 rules.
The explosive young Cypriot is travelling to Belfast full of confidence and looking to extend his unbeaten run on one of ProKick’s biggest stages. But Dan Braniff has no intentions of letting the visitor leave with his hand raised.
“I know Petros is a top fighter with a big future,” said Dan. “But I believe my experience, skill, and mentality will be enough to get the job done.”
This international showdown is one of the headline attractions on what promises to be a spectacular night of elite kickboxing, entertainment, and atmosphere at the Stormont Hotel.
