August 01, 2025
Can you believe it? ProKick is celebrating its 35th anniversary! Founded by the visionary Billy Murray, who boasts over 50 years of experience in various martial arts, ProKick Europe began its journey in 1990. Originally emerging from a television programme broadcast kickboxing events across Europe, ProKick has evolved into one of the most respected kickboxing and fitness centres in Europe—if not the world.

Today, on August 1st, 2025, we celebrate two major milestones. First, it marks three years since we rebuilt and reopened the doors to our state-of-the-art ProKick gymnasium, made possible through the support of the Urban Villages Initiative.
Today the 1st of August 2025, we also celebrate a significant milestone: it’s been three years since we rebuilt and opened the doors to our ProKick state-of-the-art gymnasium help and powered by the Urban Villages Initiative. In just this short time, the accomplishments have been nothing short of remarkable:
Welcoming New Faces to the ProKick Way: Thousands have discovered the world of kickboxing through our programmes, each drawn to the sport for their own unique reasons—be it improved fitness, mental well-being, weight management, extreme challenges, or a passion for competition. At ProKick, we’ve united individuals from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds, helping them build confidence, enhance self-esteem in our safe environment, and unlocking their true potential, all under the banner of the ProKick Way.
In three years we hosted 18 Home Events: From local competitions to world championships and children's events, we have built a vibrant community where athletes can showcase their skills. Teaching and giving talks to businesses, community groups and schools across N,Ireland
Global Representation: Our athletes have travelled to over 10 different countries in three years, proudly representing Northern Ireland at the highest levels of including world championship events.
Making an Impact: We are dedicated to giving back and creating meaningful change, exemplified through our charity efforts. One standout initiative was supporting children from war-torn Ukraine by bringing four young individuals and their guardian to Belfast for a week of much-needed respite and healing.
The future of kickboxing is incredibly bright in Belfast and beyond. Billy Murray's passion for the sport and commitment to helping others remain as strong as ever. Behind him is a fantastic team at ProKick, ready to carry on with the mission and lead the way forward with the same ethos ProKick always had.
