Championship weight is 60.1kg and the defending champion Jay Snoddon took to the scales first weighing in at 59.8kg. The challenger, Damiano Vacca from Sardinia stepped on the scales and came in overweight at 61.9kg. WKN official, Haageman, gave Vacca two hours to try and make the weight before he would step on the scales again. The Sardinian didn’t look too happy coming face to face with the reigning champion and not making the weight meant he had another challenge to face before he even steps in the ring against Snoddon.

Vacca and his team went to work in the fitness suite, while Jay refuelled and relaxed with his teammates. There was a noticeable difference in the two demeanours. Vacca - grumpy and looking frustrated or was it all tactics. Snoddon - happy and excited.

Following two hours of hard work in the fitness suite, Vacca stepped on the scales for the second time and this time they read 60.1kg. Championship weight had been made on the second attempt. The fight is ON!
