The Road to ProKick is now open

May 08, 2021

At last we have a date for our return to ProKick and a way out of this dispiriting hideous lockdown. The NI Executive announced outdoor hospitality businesses in Northern Ireland were allowed to open on 30th April, which seems to be working well. See below, indicative dates agreed by ministers for the return of indoor sporting classes, refers to us at ProKick and other close contact sports:

ProKick are presently conducting our highly successful outdoor classes at Stormont, and we thank you all for that. The feed back from you that you are enjoying the classes, means a lot.
We are trying to get caught up with our 1-1 personal training from the 30th April and will continue with them until we get the backlog completed. At present we can't undertake any further new clients or members until the 24th of May on. We can’t however, resume our indoor group training at the ProKick Gym on the 24th May - limited numbers are suggested by government but no confirmation as yet, we are scheduling 20 per class and until we are told different from government. Then we will change accordingly to their recommendations.

The return to the ProKick Gym - The resumption of contact sports is on stage 5 of the NI Assembly’s road map for coming out of lockdown. However, we can still train safely at ProKick outdoor classes with a maximum of 15 per class. Please see below our plans.

The gym has been cleared out of all unessential equipment.

Members will enter the gym through reception ready to train, removing shoes and keeping all personal belongings in their own kit bags or storage bags will be provided.

There will no longer be any sharing equipment I.e. no borrowing of gloves, head guards, pads, water bottles etc, all members must have their own gloves, until restrictions are lifted.
WE still have a large selection of good quality used equipment for sale, simply have a look, if you like then make us a reasonable offer and the gloves will be yours.

For the meantime, once your class is finished you will exit through the back of the gym (emergency exit to rear of ring).

A 15 minute change over slot will be in place to allow the area to be sanitised before the next class.

Numbers in classes - We plan to restrict the numbers to 20 per class to start off with return (this will be in line with social distancing and will only change depending on government guidelines).

Classes will need to pre booked online. For the foreseeable future

Hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes will be available and everyone will be required to use upon entering the gym, again we hope this will not be for to much longer.

We have daily deep disinfectant spraying for the entire building to commence prior to opening hours.

Here is the schedule for the return to classes at ProKick

Kids Classes - We will be operating again as normal for children. You child's class times have changed as we plan to have 3 kids classes instead of 2 on a Saturday morning. More information on KIDS classes here.

On-line classes - our LIVE and pre-recorded classes were and still are free for all our members. They have sense stopped on our private Facebook group page. However, there's plenty of classes on-line to revert back to and have a recap, a great way to learn.
If you haven't joined yet please get in touch with us by PM on Facebook messenger or by texting me. Billy Murray 07885284409.

Outdoor Classes - Our ProKick outdoor classes started back at Stormont on Monday the 5th May - with the last outdoor class is set for Saturday 22nd May at 5pm. They are all on-line @ ProKick LIVE Class on FB

The outdoor classes consisted of, very light jogging to sprints, exercise drills, syllabus to your level, finishing off on a circuit style excising. I have personally held the pads for most, that's for those who have completed one of the outdoor class.

If you are interested, please send me a text, add your full name along with ProKick grade (if any at present) to 07885284409. Social distancing and government guidelines are still in effect, but more relaxed. We would ask all in attendance to adhere to social distancing and government guidelines whilst participating. When booking a class on-line please check the date as we have included are classes for reopening of ProKick and it may be confusing. BOOK HERE for outdoor classes and for the return to Wilgar St - NOTE; please check your class date before booking!

Rest assure, we at ProKick are taking every safety precaution for the well-being of all our members and look forward to reopened the doors again at ProKick 'Home of the Champions'.
