November 26, 2021

It’s been a busy time for the Seoul man on his arrival here in Belfast. He’s been on a whistle stop tour of the hierarchy of Northern Ireland before his attempt to topple the country’s number 1 kickboxer Johnny “Swift” Smith on Saturday night. WKN team met Northern Ireland's First Minister ahead of #KnockdownLockdown tomorrow night

This was the first time Lee and Smith came face to face and the BBC were there to get all the action. Not only did they get their first sight of their opponent but also the illustrious WKN world title belt that they will battle for this Saturday was placed between their two hands. Only one set of hands will walk out of the ring with it this weekend!

Following that, the Korean team were whisked off to the seat of government, at Stormont’s Parliament Buildings and greeted by First Minister, Paul Givan. Mr Givan recognised the level of talent that ProKick have been consistently producing and was extremely excited to welcome a top class Korean kickboxer to our shores for a showcase professional world title fight. Johnny Smith showed up looking not just swift but also sleek, setting the tone for the black tie event on Saturday night.

Sunghyun Lee has been to two of Northern Ireland’s most important places of power, but come Saturday night, will he be able to withstand the destructive power of Johnny Smith? Only time will tell…
