ProKick Results at Bad Intentions 7

It was a mixed bag of results for the ProKick team in Wexford on Saturday 18th Feb - when they attended the Bad Intentions 7 event. The team travelled a 400 mile round trip to support the event and gain some valuable ring experience for the clubs young fighters.
Reuben Graham (13yrs) Vs Jake Somers (WINNER) 47kgs 2x1.5mins (Light-contact Rules)
First up was: Ollie Hamilton (16yrs) and Ollie faced Kady Shaw over 3x1.5mins (Under Low-kick Rules)
The pair met just 4 weeks earlier and Kady took the nod from the judges on their first encounter. This time the little Belfast battler was looking to even the score. After a tough non-stop three rounder, it was back to the judges, the judges could only see it one way and declared Kady the winner. Perhaps third time lucky.
Second fight up from ProKick was Gary Lynch (16yrs) Vs David Kapica at 71kgs over 3x2mins and under (K1 Rules). Gary was in total concentration through-out the match with the judges giving the decision to Gary.
The next ProKicker through the ropes at Bad Intentions 7 event was Cahal Walsh. Cahal (21yrs) faced Aaron Bourke of Dublin at 62kgs over 3x2mins under Low-kick rules. The first round went to the Co.Down man but in the second the Dubliner, David came back well and took the second. Sooooo in the third it was all to fight for, after a to-and-fro final round the judges couldn't split it and awarded a draw!
The final ProKick fighter was 13 year-old Reuben Graham he faced Jake Somers a local favourite under Light-Contact Rules.
This was a non-stop feisty affair which was on the boarder of being a Full-contact match not light-contact. Some deliberation at the end with the judges as the fight was close and after the scores were counted up the match went to Local teenager Jake Somers.
Well done to our team and all the helpers back at the ProKick who held the fort helping make the trip possible. Our two drivers, Johnny & Cahal for the 400 mile trip. Johnny Smith for helping me prepare the team and Adam who was back stage making sure the team were warmed up. Not forgetting the promoters for the invitation to participate at 'Bad intentions 7 event'
Our own event 'Blood Brothers' is this weekend.
