October 02, 2021
Today 2nd October 2021 saw a packed venue for an action-packed Saturday afternoon at the ProKick Gym in Belfast. This afternoon the Gym was inundated with kickboxers from our adult classes all in search of the same, excellence in the Sport of ProKick's style of kickboxing and to move up a level in the sport.
ProKick was the venue for an action-packed afternoon of kickboxing, Today the Gym members were all searching for excellence in the Sport of ProKick's style of kickboxing.
The grading saw Kickboxing mad students go through the ProKick exams with a series of tests covering different aspects from the sport which helped elevate them to the next level. Today members covered belts from only the Yellow and Orange belt levels. A big thanks to senior member Johnny Smith for his assistance at the grading day.
A grading is when Kickboxing students, non-contact and contact, are assessed through a series of levels / grades, with the base level being White Belt, through ten levels, finally reaching a Dan grade at black belt, which is equivalent, if you like, to a degree level in KickBoxing. This type of achievement would take, on average, between six and eight years with a training regime of on average of three to four times a week.
