The judges were unanimous in awarding her the win, impressed by her exceptional display of boxing finesse and kicking expertise. Meanwhile, Belfast's, Gary Lynch fell short against a formidable Cyprian opponent - echoing the old adage that he was outsized and out-powered. While Gary still shines as a kickboxer in the welterweight category, the middleweight division is not his domain! Unfortunately, he missed out on clinching the WKN Junior International title in the middleweight class.
In Cyprus, other standout fighters who emerged victorious included Jay Munn. On just his second fight, Mun captivated the audience with a stunning show of strength, securing a knockout in the second round.
Fourteen-year-old Ruben Graham epitomises the saying 'hard work pays off.' After losing his first three fights, the young Comber teenager captivated the judges with his unwavering fighting style and determination to succeed.
Many ringside spectators believed Cahal Walsh emerged victorious in his bout, but the judges had a different perspective. Reflecting on the match, Cahal shared, "I'm content with my performance; my opponent was formidable, resulting in a close and exciting fight. I look forward to the opportunity of facing him once more."
Another rookie fighter on the card, Robbie Mcquaid, stepping into the international arena for the first time. As the bell rang, pressure mounted in the opening round. Coach Billy Murray, witnessing the struggle, made a decisive move - stopping the fight in the 1st round after Robbie hit the canvas from a knee to the head. Robbie rose, but Murray intervened, pulling his fighter out. The battle may be over for now, but Robbie will return to fight another day!
Don't overlook Leo Smith, the youngest rising star at ProKick, embodying the future of the sport. As the saying goes, a good big fighter will always triumph over a good small fighter, but Leo defied the odds despite being outsized and out-powered he went on to finish the fight to loss on points.
