ProKick Re-Opened

October 16, 2017

TUESDAY 17th October - The Calm after the storm, schools are still off but the rest of the country is back to normal and we at the ProKick Gym are OPEN! Yes, our Tin-Hit is still standing and we are back to normal. Monday 16th October all ProKick classes were cancelled. That was the first time in the history of the ProKick Gym that all classes had been KO'd by the weather. Due to the bad weather we at the ProKick Gym closed on Monday night. We didn't want any of our members travelling in the poor conditions. NI Weather & Flood Advisory Service had also advised against all non-essential travel. All schools in the North & South of Ireland were also cancelled Monday. The bad weather was all in association with ex-Hurricane Ophelia.

NI Weather & Flood Advisory Service are now advising against all non-essential travel.

Councils have also suspended non-essential services. All flights have been suspended. Power cuts across parts of NI. A large number of business have chosen to close today, we advise those still open to consider closing to allow staff to get home safely. M2 motorway has been closed northbound. A building has also reportedly collapsed in Belfast, we are trying to get information on this.

Longer journey times and cancellations are likely, as road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected as well as some bridge closures. There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.

Flying debris is likely, such as tiles blown from roofs, as well as large waves around coastal districts with beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and properties. This leads to the potential for injuries and danger to life.

Take care stay at home & stay safe....
