Amazing Grace marches on to next match

Lisburn’s Grace Goody came of age after a tough but good win over Lauren Wilson from Fight-Club NI at the Seageo Hotel in Portadown last night (5th Oct 2019). The pair ladykillers raised the roof at the packed 17 fight event promoted by David Boyd.

Grace Goody Vs Lauren Wilson - First round was even with both girls, Grace & Lauren getting her own shots off. Second round, Grace landed good low kicks and was getting through with some good boxing as well. Lauren kept reminding the ProKick fighter Grace that she was in a fight when rocking her head back on numerous occasions with front kicks to the face and stiff right hands.
The third and final round, Grace piled on the pressure with a non-stop kicking and punching attack, which forced the referee Mr Stewart Beattie (64 today Happy Birthday) to jump in and administer a standing count to Lauren Wilson. That was it, the end of a hard fought fight by both girls. Judges collated the scorecards and the winner …..'Grace Goody’

It wasn’t Alex Ekhtiyari’s night, as he lost out before even getting into the fight. In fairness to Alex he came into the fight with an ankle injury and after just less than a minute into the fight it worsened immediately. Taking nothing away from a strong Daryl White who caught Alex with a nice head kick in the opening seconds of the fight won the fight after medical advice to stop the match due to Alex’s injury.
